PROJECT SUMMARY
MUSIC ITALY SHOW AND MUSIC HEAVEN BOLOGNA
Bologna, Italy 12-17 May 2010 The concert will be for 7500 people!!

From May 15th to 17th 2010 Bologna will host Music Italy Show – Italy’s most important trade fair featuring musical instruments, publishing, backstage equipment, DJ and discography. This project stems from a collaboration between the Association DISMAMUSICA – Distribution, Industry, Musical Instruments and Artisans – and BolognaFiere, Bologna’s exhibition center. More than 100 exhibitors will be present representing over 400 international brands of musical instruments. Not your usual trade show, the 3-day event includes more than 100 live performances on 3 different stages, a rich program of workshops and seminars and numerous special events such as LOVE ME FENDER, an exhibit which includes some of the most artistically significant examples of the legendary brand of electric guitars Fender and 26 related works by contemporary artists including paintings, sculptures, photographs and installations. In addition, following a sixcity roadshow, Music Italy Show will host the finals of the GUITAR HERO CONTEST where the winner will challenge a world-class guitarist. In occasion of Music Italy Show, Bologna will also host MUSIC HEAVEN BOLOGNA, a constellation of musical appointments promoted by BolognaFiere that will involve the entire city, named by UNESCO as one of the “Creative Cities of Music”. The 2010 edition is dedicated to the guitar, one of the most played instruments around the world. Beginning on May 12th Music Heaven Bologna will offer performances by important Italian and international guitarists from all genres, from classical to contemporary, rock, metal, blues and jazz.
Bologna’s historical medieval landmarks will become the backdrop for numerous events of interest to both the public and the media. Palazzo Re Enzo is the location for the inaugural party on Friday night, a DJ set of electronic, hip-hop and other contemporary sounds featuring Djs Cassius (France), Crookers (Italy) and Pendulum (UK).

On Sunday the magnificent St. Stephen’s Basilica will host the renowned classical guitarist Walter Zanetti, who, together with Bologna’s Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform “Concerto d’Aranjuez” (J. Rodrigo). Proceeds from the event will be donated toward the restoration of the church, one of Bologna’s most treasured monuments.

Monday evening the historic Opera House of Bologna offers its stage to the virtuoso gipsymanouche guitarist Birali Lagrene, acknowledged heir of the celebrated master guitarist Django Reinhardt, for whom this year marks 100 years since his birth. Lagrene will be accompanied by his trio.

Not to be missed is the main event in Piazza Maggiore on Saturday May 15th – THE ULTIMATE
WORLD GUITAR EXHIBITION, where for the first time the most important international rock
guitarists, headliner Yngwie Malmsteen, will unite in a single mega show, free of charge to the public.

Eddie Van Halen (VAN HALEN), Brian May (QUEEN), Steve Vai, Steve Morse (DEEP PURPLE), Angus and Malcolm Young (AC/DC), Yngwie Malmsteen and Warren DeMartini (RATT) are among the musicians who have recorded guest appearances on "What The Hell Was I Thinking?", the long-awaited new project from guitarist Dweezil Zappa.

"In a recent interview with The Huffington Post, Zappa stated about the forthcoming CD, "It's a record that I started a while ago, and I just haven't had a chance to really put it all together. I know I'm probably going to add some changes based on my own technical improvements to my playing. I guess the best way to describe the project is it's an audio movie. I recorded a bunch of different music that all segues together, so it's constantly morphing and turning. Each little segment has its own little audio environment, and then you have these cameo appearances by all these different guitar players who sort of start falling out of the speakers. So, it's got about thirty different people on there so far. . . And the thing is, all these different people, they all have a very recognizable sound, and in the world of guitar playing, that's a real challenge - to create your own sound to where when you hear just a couple of notes you actually know who it is. The fun of it is that you're actually hearing a lot of these people out of context, they're playing on things they wouldn't normally be playing over, and that was part of the fun of making this project happen. So, either people are playing on exactly what you would expect them to play over, or something you would never expect them to play over. The Van Halenthing is pretty funny because I put this section together where I askedEdward to play sort of a 'greatest-hits' from all his different guitar licks. We just took different licks from different solos from different records and made him play them all and string them together in one guitar solo. That was pretty fun because it was like having your own toyEddie Van Halen - like, 'I'll make my Eddie Van Halen play this.'"

Ca fait plus de 15 ans qu'il parle de ce disque, il a même égaré certains masters de solos!

Swedish guitar legend and classical metal master Yngwie Malmsteen will be on heavy rotation with the TV show "Miami Music Television", which airs on ABC Saturdays at 1 a.m. Yngwie will be opening the show. Stay tuned for further details.

The "Miami Music Television" show serves as a platform to feature musicians, bands and performers from the South Florida and international markets performing all genres and styles of music. The program will also include celebrity guest appearances and interviews from the music and entertainment industries.

"Le livre, qui est prévu pour l'automne 2012, est basé sur des entretiens avec des personnes proches de Yngwie Malmsteen, quelques anciens membres du groupe, les épouses, amis et ennemis", selon un communiqué de presse de l'éditeur.

Il y a donc deux livres annoncés, celui-ci, et l'autobiographie de Malmsteen.
